Dr.
Russell Cavallo received his undergraduate degree in 1986 from Colgate
University where he majored in Biology and lettered in both
Varsity Soccer and Baseball. He furthered his studies at Temple
University where he earned a Master’s degree in Sports
Medicine and graduated in 1988. His medical training was
performed at The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City
where he received his medical degree in 1992. He earned honors
in surgery and as the top student in Neurosciences and was asked to
remain at Mount Sinai for his Orthopaedic Residency which he
completed in 1997. While there, he received Orthopaedic training
with particular emphasis on trauma and joint reconstructive
surgery. He also developed an interest in Shoulder
Reconstruction and pursued this interest while spending time on
the Shoulder Service at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New
York City.
